Flammable Liquid Handling Systems
Flammable liquids are very volatile and dangerous materials to handle within a manufacturing operation. However, many times, these liquids are needed to complete the product process. We have designed flammable liquid unloading and distribution system that meet all the NFPA guidelines, eliminate employee exposure to the chemical and have an automatic shutoff system in case of leaks or ruptures.

MT Systems has designed unloading systems for the operator's and company's safety concerns in mind. The systems aredesigned to meet or exceed all OSHA regulations and NFPA 30 codes. The systems makes handling certain flammable liquids safer and easier for the plant personnel. The handling system can include the unloading station only or can be designed all the way to the process machine.

- Cylinder weigh scales on platform
- Separate control panel with alarm light and PLC that can be tied to alarms in other locations
- PLC based control with full color operator interface
- Excess flow valve—mechanical device to limit liquid flow
- Fabricated and painted barriers to protect the weigh scales and piping
- N2 Regulators - if applicable
- Liquid and N2 control valves
- N2 pressure transmitter
- Liquid header pressure transmitter
System Safeties:
- Designed to NFPA 30 codes and OSHA regulations
- Intrinsically safe wiring design
- Multiple emergency stops which de-energize all outputs
- Excess flow valve that protects against over pressurization
- Dry quick disconnects which eliminates employee exposure to liquid material during cylinder change outs
- Liquid header pressure regulation where the liquid line is regulated to shutdown the system if line pressure drops
- A system purge feature pushes liquid back to the source when the liquid line needs to be opened
- Fire rated fail safe control valves
- Fusible line air lines
- Alarm features and history on PLC and operator interface
- System is de-pressurized for cylinder change out to 0 psi
- Vapor detectors can be included in the system
- Scrubber line are designed into the system for excess flow or system purge
- Flammable liquid and N2 control valves (if applicable)
